Where you are

Many of the emerging services make use of the phone’s ability to reveal its physical location when tracked by the network. This means that advertising can be sent to the phone to encourage purchases and take-up of offers targeted to where the phone use is located at that time.

This network-driven targeting has already been used to promote cheap petrol, trade services, retail discounts, entertainment venue offers and the like via local directories. This gives you a chance to stay updated and in sync without missing on the current opportunities. No one looks at the ads any more and decides to purchase. Its the relevant ones that are checked. In this case it matches the need and place. What is more, it is free too.
